This, the first of the blooming Pink Panther series, is an extraordinary film. To know that originally Peter Ustinov was cast to play Jacques Clouseau as a straight, inept French detective is a sobering conception. After Ustinov dropped out, of course, Peter Sellers got the role and after consultation with Blake Edwards, decided to gain him not only inept, but also bumbling and accident prone, a characterization that defines how we assume of Clouseau today. This film is moving in that since it is the first of the series it is fascinating to recognize the origins of the character, and how different he is here than in later ‘Panther’ films. Here is clumsy and prone to pratfalls, but is less flamboyantly slapstick than in the later films.

The film also stars the fabulous David Niven, who plays the perfect suave English thief, and a very young Robert Wagner as his equally debonair nephew. Female stars are the heavenly Claudia Cardinale and Capucine, two of the top European actresses and models from the era.

The movie is a bit more sedate than the later films in the series, but level-headed is one of the funniest movies of the sixties. ‘A Shot In The Dark’, also released in 1964, as the first sequel, began the transformation to the later formulas with additions such as the amazing Herbert Lom. ‘The Pink Panther’ does introduce the engrossing ‘Pink Panther’ short for the first time, as well as the often imitated, never duplicated title theme. Other viewers will have their have popular scenes, and the costume party is surely one of the highlights of the film, but for my money the best scenes in the film revolve around Clouseau trying to woo his wife by playing his Stradivarius violin, over many protestations. The perceive of harm on David Niven’s face during his playing is worth the effect of the film alone

If I were doing it today, I would seize this DVD as allotment of the multi DVD ‘Pink Panther’ space, where it also includes a few intelligent bonuses such as a ‘trivia track’, which adds immense tidbits about the film.

Peter Sellers was a silly genius, and the world level-headed waits for another genius of his stature. I judge we will be waiting a long, long time.

This first Pink Panther movie is as respectable as the next “A Shot in the Dusky.” Both are sterling films, with a sound fable, a creatively hilarious and brilliant screenplay, a well-developed position of characters, and a original style of filming that elevates “slapstick comedy” to the highest level of sophistication. there are so many quotable lines that are well-worth to write them down as you glance the movie. The soundtrack song “Meglio Stasera(It had better be tonight) “is capable and written to fit perfectly into the theme and mood of the film. Fran Jeffries sings it very well to a crowd of people by a fireplace, and she is as delicious as this scene itself. Claudia Cardinale and Capucine reveal style and charm in their roles. The title sequence runs over 7 minutes and it is as splendid as the movie itself. The 60’s record, in my plan, the highest point in fashion and general pop culture which truly reflects the highest level of sophistication and taste; in this context, this movie is one of the movies that best describe the 60’s. I agree with the other viewer that this movie should figure in the 100 Best movies of any list. The DVD is ample with the finest describe quality; check the trailer because it is hysterically amusing and very new, not the case of unusual movie trailers. This movie is ideal for a cozy evening with friends and your approved martinis. I unprejudiced wish there were a special DVD edition with Director Blake Edwards’ commentary on separate track, and of others eager in the making of this masterpiece.

10 Things I Despise About You is a fairly basic teen savor narrative, but with the added twist of Shakespeare and some profitable comedic acting.

The yarn is based on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. It is about two sisters, one very approved, Bianca Stratford (played by Larisa Oleynik) and the other, Katrina, or “Kat” (played by Julia Stiles) hated because of her gruff character. Their overbearing father (played by the hilarious Larry Miller), devises a way whereby Bianca cannot date until rebellious Katrina does, which seems an impossibility. Thereby is plot up a procedure to pair Katrina off with the mischievous Patrick Verona. One of the masterminds of this spot is Cameron James (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a newcomer to Padua high, where the movie takes position. The other is his assistant of sorts, Michael Eckman (played by David Khumoltz) .

Though somewhat predictable, especially if you have read Taming of the Shrew, it is an titillating light diversion. The dialogue is quite well done, intertwining a word or phrase from Shakespeare with new teen slang. Other odes to Shakespeare are seen in Kat’s friend who idolizes him as if he is a teen heartthrob, plus reading of his works in one Kat’s classes. The timing in the dialogue is also very Shakespearean (for a comedy) . It’s Very lickety-split fire. I believe both David Khumoltz and Larry Miller are amazingly amusing!

Overall, this is not your typical shallow teen romance movie, but can appeal to anyone who enjoys witty dialogue, and many literary references.

The DVD is unremarkable. It has a apt DD 5.1 soundtrack driven by a nice selection of alternative rock - Letters from Clio had several cameos, but I acquire they mainly played hide tunes, not their enjoy stuff. The DVD does not occupy any special features.

When I first saw previews for this movie, I notion that it looked alright, and that it was fair another movie like Can’t Hardly Wait and She’s All That. Since I found those movies challenging, I decided to glimpse it. When I finished the movie, I was completly blown away. The movie was nothing as I had expected it would be. The area was so distinguished better than all of those other teenage movies. This movie has everything: a qualified script, hysterical jokes, mammoth acting, even a top-notch soundtrack. Heath Ledger played Patrick Verona, a typical tough guy, and it’s so fun to ogle his tough exterior dissapear to command a sensitive loving guy. Julia Stiles does a incredible portrayal of Kat Stratford, a sarcastic teenage girl trying her hardest not to fit in. Her sister Bianca is also well cast, played by Larissa Olyenick. The disagreement between these two sisters is hysterical. Cameron, a sweet guy, is played by Joesph Gordon-Levitt, and you can’t attend but smile at his innocence (”She kissed me! …In the car!”) This movie follows the lives of these fabulous characters, and you will arrive to esteem each of them. Even all of the smaller parts are well acted and amusing, such as the Stratford sisters uptight father, the hysterical guidance counselor Ms. Perky, and all of the other high school students. One of the best things about this movie is how moral it is. Slide into any high school, and you will feel like you have unbiased walked into Padua, their school. (”Those are your basic ravishing people…don’t talk to them unless they talk to you first.”) It is very rare to get a movie that has so remarkable humor. Give this movie a chance, I’m gay I did…I could probably recite the whole movie by heart.

My fiance and I both loved this movie when it was released and we detached do. When we heard it was coming out on Blu Ray and on top of that 3-D we were beyond aroused. Well that excitment was crushed when we got home, set it on and were almost given instant headaches from the customary school red and blue 3-d glasses and the fact that no matter how hard we tried to ogle it, it unbiased was nowhere arrive 3-d quality. We sat there contemplating whether or not it was unbiased us or if the 3-d aspect of it sucked that awful and we came to the conclusion that it was definately the latter. So after a half hour of trying hard to like it we switched it to 2-d (thank god for blu ray for having that option) and saw how in 1080p it was almost 3-d itself.

Needless to say the very next day I went attend to the store I purchased it from and changed it for the regular blu ray version (which was $5 cheaper than the 3-d version and totally worth the rob, 5 stars for that version.) It was very shadowy that it did not work out because such an fabulous holiday movie with such stout animation would be a no brainer to have as 3-d but unfortunately it impartial is not worth the headache and strain.

I went to notice this movie tonight with a mentally handicapped friend - “Michael” — (from a L’Arche home here in Winnipeg, Canada) . We were the first persons in the theatre for the very first evening showing in this city - and we were the last to leave. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - enchanted by the movie’s subtleties and happily exhausted by its roller-coaster rides.

Time and again, Michael (who is sensitive, compassionate and with a superb sense of humor) turned to me in the darkness, smiling in appreciation at the dependable same moments I turned to discover his reactions. Each time this happened, it was at a moment in the film when some limited detail, perfectly captured through qualified ‘cinematography,’ brought moisture to my normally cynical see, and a warm smile to Michael’s innocent face.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Polar Express! Click Here

Some examples: There is a lone, shadowy child on this apparent ‘dream train’ to the North Pole - a girl of about ten or eleven years, and like a painting approach to life, the miraculous technology at work in this film captures the particular sensibilities of this compassionate, unlit youngster — We peep diminutive mannerisms of someone comfortable with herself in a plot the other (ten or so) white kids on the issue are not. And the do is profound — the movie audience, including some children of that same age group, went mute at such moments in the film.

My friend Michael - who has a ’savant’ genius for perceiving my emotions, and expressing them for me out loud in public — Michael turned to me with a elated smile when the girl on the thunder reaches out to beget the hands of the poorest boy, sitting alone in the rear compartment; and later, she hugs two other boys, (one of them the central character) — at their final parting. At that moment I held up a finger to my lips to try to hush Michael, but couldn’t prevent him from saying aloud: “She’s such a sweetheart.” There were murmurs of appreciation in the darkness around us, responding to this innocent sentiment.

There is a sublime moment, on the assist platform of the absorbing squawk — the Northern Lights glimmering in the distance — when the young girl joins in song with the poorest kid on the teach (a younger boy from a extinct home on the “far side of the tracks”) . I admit to being overcome with emotion during this duet (a stunning, strong melody with poignant lyrics) - and I blurted out loud to Michael, after the first chorus: “What a astounding song!” The refrain includes the words “When Christmas comes to town.” [It's a song so honorable that, with some future 'cover versions' by serious musicians who could do it justice --- this "Christmas Comes to Town" song could, I fill, deservedly join the slight list of suitable, Christmas 'classics.']

I’d have to agree with anyone who thinks this movie is a diminutive short on area. And yet . . . once you’ve suspended disbelief — beginning with an earth-shattering, Christmas-eve arrival of a steam-puffing, passenger drawl on a small-town Michigan street, directly outside the home of the movie’s central character — once we’ve swallowed that premise, the movie disarmingly embraces the child in us, (including our fears) and our reservations vanish without our noticing.

Just as expansive `realistic’ painters, (believe Rembrandt or Vermeer) worked wonders of light & shadow that no mere photograph could ever retract, so too this computer-animated marvel takes your breath away through an accumulation of puny but acute observations that could never be captured by faded cinematography. Prime examples from the opening scenes:

A shaft of light illuminates the boy’s bedroom, and he is reflected in a chrome, automobile hubcap leaning against a wall; at once we part his belief — through the keyhole of his bedroom door - we can view only the backs and the dressing gowns of mother and father, as they say goodnight to the boy’s young sister, after determining the spot of her conception in Santa’s existence - a opinion no longer shared by the older brother, whose view is at the keyhole.

Later, on the affirm, there’s an lovely conclude up of the boy’s face, a shrimp blemish above the pores on his upper upright cheek; the `camera’ pans in rotation, capturing perfectly, the texture of the boy’s hair, and that of the young sad girl sitting beside him — subtleties of such perfection one wonders if the fresh, artistic accomplishment of “Polar Announce” could ever be surpassed.

The film’s last scene, consists entirely of a close-up conception of a dinky, silver bell (of the type associated with sleigh rides) with its attached ‘ribbon’ of red leather. The tiny bell helps execute the final point about `Belief’ — in things unseen, (or forgotten, and thus inaccessible to some adults) . So simple, so much, so enlightening an image. My friend Michael turned to me at that moment, with a blooming smile. And we honest shook our heads in anxiety.

—-

Yes, this movie must have SOME shortcomings - one or two moments that don’t quite work as intended by the creators. But lawful now, in the afterglow, I can’t remove what they were. The film was impartial too satisfying an experience!

I’m a 57-year-old grandfather who happens to bear that “The Polar Snort” is the first, suitable Christmas classic in almost 60 years. Not since the current Kris Kringle “Miracle” movie of 1947, has any film (to my jaded examine) so transcended our secular, commercial views of the Holiday Season, with such uplifting and recent reminders of the timeless and proper spirit of Christmas.

K, I know it’s a minute thing, especially when Cheers uses so petite pop music in the series. But for this reason, you’d consider that Paramount could glean rights to the recent music ancient in the episodes.

Episode: “Bar Wars V: The Final Judgement” Song “Monster Mash” By Bobby Boris Pickett” is replaced by generic Halloween music. VERY Extinct! That’s impartial the first disc!

ENOUGH ALREADY! The Fugitive fiasco should have been a wakeup call for the DVD division execs at Paramount. In addition to the greed demonstrated by partial season sets (on other series), this studio is going overboard with this music replacement thing. Fans do peep, and Paramount is trashing it’s TV library! This rather irritating fact aside. The video quality, sound and record are top notch, and would deserve five stars.. if it weren’t for the music thing.

I am a die-hard Cheers fan, so I liked this DVD. However, I am disappointed that they have made cuts, and in a least one case, actually changed from the novel episode.

This work, narrated by Gene Kelley, is devoted to the cinema musicals, starting with seldom seen footage of the restful era, and continuing with the fabulous dancing scenes of Busby Berkley. Next we fade on to the Fred Astaire period, which centers attention on the individual dancer. We watch pleasing performances from the likes of Ginger Rogers, Ruby Keeler as well as the incomparable Nicholas Brothers. With the advent of color, comes a never previously seen number on the ‘yellow brick road’ with Judy Garland and Ray Bolger. Not to forget a marvellous routine by Shirley Temple and Bojangles Robinson! Alltogether, this is the most memorable series of dance sequences that I have ever seen in half a century.

This film is a must-see for any dancer. The clips outmoded to showcase different types of dancing in film are creatively woven together and the commentary is very informative. Many notorious scenes from the primitive MGM musicals to the water spray scene in Flashdance are ancient to illustrate how diversified dancing in films can be. For ballet dancers, there is a share devoted solely to ballet in films which is hosted by Mikhail Baryshnikov. Scenes of Rudolph Nureyev leaping through the air compliment this portion as well as scenes from various ballets. Liza Minelli hosts the Broadway inspirational fraction which is shorter in length. I only saw this film once but I feel that it is a must-own selection for any dancer.

Well… here’s the deal…

Buy,Download, Or Stream Blade Runner! Click Here

Blade Runner stands as one of those films whose editting and final cleave were always a subject for debate. As you may know there are two known cuts of this film: the novel theatrical version (shunned by many who claimed it was a producer’s cleave who did not contain in Scott’s right vision) and the director’s prick (which is not really the director’s slit… it is more a screenplay’s sever… with some changes who merely unmade some of the things the producers did on the previous slash) .

It is this second version that you will acquire here (while the first version is no longer available) with a face select… a modern transfer… better sound… and that’s it.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Blade Runner! Click Here

In one scheme, this version is badly needed because all the previous Blade Runner DVD incarnations advance from the first years of DVD - when you didn’t even have a decent menu. And since the DVD technology has evolved a lot since then… why not a unique version of Blade Runner, proper?

But…….

The mystique surrounding Blade Runner says that director Ridley Scott never REALLY got HIS Accurate version of this film. And more… A such an primary and remarkable loved film like this should have lots of extras to bring a novel light to a film that is so fundamental and trendsetting.

And it seems that after 25 years, all the apt problems preventing all this from happenning were really sorted out between the film’s conventional producers who battled for years for the film’s rights.

And now, with all problems solved, we know that in 2007, we’ll have that multi-disc version all the fans always dreamt of.

SO, THE DEAL IS… IF YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT THIS VERSION, Hold THIS EDITION. The profitable thing is you won’t even go through those uninteresting snap cases anymore. Even if you already have it, the better image and sound on this release will certainly accomplish up for it.

BUT IF YOU CANNOT BE Contented WITH ANYTHING LESS THAT THE WHOLE MULTI-DISC EDITION COMPRISING ALL THE VERSIONS AND TONS OF EXTRAS… forget about this version and wait a few months for the longer, bigger, more complete, celebratory, multi versioned, multi disc residence that will give you the Pudgy BLADE RUNNER deal.

It will cost more, naturally, but we’ve been saving money for it since our childhood, honest? ;-)

I’m a expansive fan. So I’ll wait. This version is a rapidly, fair and considerable needed repairment: a large fresh transfer (with no extras) for those who impartial want the film. An entry level I’d say. And I believe it is marvelous that Warner Home Video has this version for those who objective want the film - at bargain stamp.

But more is coming in 2007. In tubby!!

So, I’ll wait impatiently!!!!!

I fully agree with the previous reviewers. I already have the unusual 1992 Director’s Gash and have been waiting ages to upgrade it. However, now that the producers have finally settled their proper problems, we are being deluged with a surfeit of Blade Runner editions. This is the first and the least promising of three planned editions. The 1992 Director’s Prick is a compromise prick. This barebones DVD is the same as the previous DVD except that it has been fully restored and given an anamorphic remastering.

Following this edition, there will be another entitled, “Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner: The Final Slash,” to be released in early 2007 to brand the 25th Annversary of the movie, which will include newly restored scenes and will be Scott’s final word on the film. Then later in 2007, there will be the “Ultimate Blade Runner” which will enjoy all 4 versions of the film, the novel U.S. theatrical slash, the expanded international theatrical gash, the 1992 Director’s Crop and the 2007 Final Slit, all fully restored and in anamorphic transfers plus tonnes of extras. In addition, Blade Runner will also be released simultaneously on both Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats.

Buy this with your eyes launch. It is recommended only if you’re a completist or have only passing interest in the film. This edition will have a petite speed of unprejudiced 4 months before it is withdrawn prior to the arrival of the next edition.

Although spoiler warnings are not normally required by Internet etiquette for shows that ended several years ago, let me offer one anyway. In other words, Spoilers ahoy!

Although Season Five of BUFFY isn’t considered by most to be the shows best year (Season Two probably would gather the nod by more), I personally reflect it to be the most impressive of the seven seasons of the point to. This was a season with few or no feeble episodes, the most unified central sage line, a host of capable lesser station lines, several brilliantly written episodes, and an absolutely ravishing season finale. When I saw Season Two I was convinced that it would long stand as the single finest season of any present I knew, but Season Five changed my mind.

By Season Five BUFFY was a outmoded demonstrate. It never achieved a titanic audience, and distinguished of the early hype had started to proceed, though critics and fans continued to celebrate it as one of the most brilliantly written shows in the history of TV. Had it ended at the extinguish of its fourth season, its plot as one of the most crucial shows in the history of the medium would have been assured. But no one familiar with the expose was surprised when they pulled out all the stops and somehow, improbably managed to top all that had gone before.

Season Five begins with a doubt planted in Buffy by none other than the most famed vampire of them all, Dracula, who had traveled to Sunnydale to meet the Slayer. Although in many ways the weakest episode of the season, the Count’s encounters with Buffy caused her to examine who she was and what she was all about. Season Four had ended with the colossal episode “Restless,” in which Buffy in a dream sequence had encountered the First Slayer, who told her that the raze was all, implying that her rich social circle and group of friends interfered with her being the Slayer. Dracula tells her that she is a hunter and that she thrives on the thrill of the hunt. In a map, the demand raised in Buffy’s mind is whether she is reliable, whether being the Slayer is compatible with being a decent human being. For the whole season Buffy will ponder questions of friends, family, death, and worship. And for her everything will be clarified in a single moment of expansive self-sacrifice.

At the destroy of the first episode, after having dispensed with Dracula and asking Giles to once again be her watcher (she even agrees to read books in order to become more proficient, though she typically asks if any of them are on tape read by George Clooney), Buffy tells her mother that she is going to meet Riley. Buffy walks into her bedroom, where a girl we have never seen before is standing. Joyce then calls out to Buffy that if she was going to meet Riley, she should remove her sister, to which both Buffy and this exclusive girl turn and irritatingly yowl, “Mom!” It was an improbable status development, the literary equivalent of a skater announcing that they were about to manufacture a quadruple axle with help flip. They created a situation twist that seemed almost impossible to choose in any satisfying kind of diagram. Any fan of BUFFY knows at least one thing: Buffy is an only child. She has no sister, no brother, no half-brother or half sister, no adopted sibling. There is ONLY Buffy and her mother. To gain things even more bizarre, for the first four episodes of the season things depart as if Dawn, her sister, had always been a fraction of the reveal. She was known and loved by the other permanent characters of the indicate, shared their memories, and apparently had always been there. Only gradually do we reach to learn the truth. Dawn is a newly created human being. She is, in fact, a mystical key to a hell dimension who had been magically transformed into the sister of the Slayer by a group of monks in order to try and camouflage her from a hell god who was intent on using her to launch the door between this world and hell. The monks had created Dawn as the Slayer’s sister because they believed that she could best serve protect her. They made her a valid girl, unaware of her metaphysical reality, and had “built” the memories of all those connected with the Slayer in order to veil the Key as well as possible. It was an atrocious thing to attempt. The miracle is that they were amazingly successful. Many don’t care for Dawn because they peer her as whiney, but few abominate her because they fetch her hard to come by as The Key. Gradually, of course, first Buffy, then Giles, then Joyce, and finally the Scoobies and Dawn herself arrive to understand who she is.

Meanwhile, the hell god is searching for The Key. Being a subversive expose, BUFFY was always intent to catch some current slant on the faded villain, and so here. Glory, or Glorificus to give her burly name, may be a hell god, but visually she looks like a very radiant, vain, pampered (you know she gets regular pedicures and waxings), somewhat ditzy fashion plate. Physically Buffy is no match for her and is only saved in their first encounter when Glory causes a building to collapse on her when she has a temper tantrum after breaking a heel. That sums up about all one needs to know about Glory. From the 5th episode until the finale, the yarn for the season was structured around the attempt to protect Dawn/The Key from Glory.

The existence of Dawn raises a host of questions, none more vital to Buffy that who Dawn really is. She has memories of Dawn as her sister, remembers growing up with her, but she knows that Dawn isn’t “really” her sister. So who is she? The first episode following Buffy’s discovery of the truth about Dawn is “Family,” in which Tara’s family comes to Sunnydale to remove her home. The Maclay family has advance to rep her because, they claim, the Maclay women win their demon execute when they turn a positive age. When Tara shows some reluctance to go with them, her father declares that she should be with her family. Although none of the Scoobies have ever been particularly finish or even accepting of Tara, upon learning that Tara doesn’t want to go with her father Buffy declares that they can assume her, but that they have to go through her to do so. Mr. Maclay then points out, “We’re her blood kin. Who are you? ” To which Buffy responds, “We’re family.” This is crucial for concept not fair Buffy’s subsequent decision to secure Dawn fully as her sister, but for conception the workings of the Scoobies as a whole. Not impartial Buffy and Joyce, but Dawn, Willow, Tara, Xander, Giles, and Anya construct a family. Even Spike eventually assumes the set of the family’s gloomy sheep. So gradually, in respond to the doubts raised by Dracula as to who Buffy truly is, she is first and foremost a fraction of a community. And to the First Slayer, who insisted there was only the slay, Buffy could yell that there was the family. And to the conception that a Slayer was essentially a killer, she eventually learns that above all else she is a lover.

The rest of the season more or less is a gloss on this view of family and unity in the face of outside inconvenience. There are a host of subplots, including the building relationship between Xander and Anya, Anya’s growth from obsolete vengeance demon to avid capitalist, Giles retract of the Magic Box, and Riley’s departure from the reveal. The most inviting subplot was unquestionably Spike’s disturbed realization that he was in like with the Slayer, which resulted in a Slayer fixation. Eventually, his desire to be respected by Buffy leads to something of a legal transformation, so that even before he acquired a soul at the extinguish of Season Six he had more or less acquired one by his actions.

This season depended less on outstanding individual episodes than previous (or subsequent) ones, mainly because the season as a whole holds together so well. But there were nonetheless some mammoth individual ones. I loved “No Area Like Home” in which we meet Glory for the first time, Anya becomes an avid money maker, and Buffy discovers the truth about Dawn. “Family” I’ve mentioned. “Fool for Care For” is a Spike-centered episode in which he explains to Buffy not only how he killed two previous Slayers but what it was that made it possible. “Blood Ties” is a very intense episode in which Dawn discovers who she is and has more than a tiny disaster coming to terms with it. “I Was Made to Cherish You” is a amazing episode about relationships and blaming oneself for the failures of another to be in a relationship, structured about a shapely young woman who comes to Sunnydale looking for who she takes as her boyfriend, but who is in reality her maker. She is a robot. The builder, Warren, becomes an distinguished character in Season Six. The last several episodes are so first-rate that it is difficult to judge them apart from one another, but I will merely say that the final episode, “The Gift,” rivals Season Two’s “Becoming” and Season Seven’s “Chosen” as the best BUFFY finale.

One episode, however, stands out even among these. “The Body” is arguably the best episode in the history of the indicate and one of the most bright individual episodes in the history of television. Buffy comes home to see her mother Joyce humdrum on a couch. What follows is the most realistic, palpable, and believable representation of what it feels to lose a loved one not merely in the history of TV, but in the history of visual media. Certainly no movie feels as convincing as this episode. That “The Body” did not procure the Emmy for best writing that year is an indictment of the silliness of the Emmys. It is an almost impossibly well done episode.

The season ends with Buffy with the abet of her friends defeating Glory, but not before Dawn’s blood has been former to start the door between dimensions. The door can only be closed by the blood that runs through Dawn, but since she was created from Buffy’s blood, to be the sister of the Slayer, Buffy realizes that her blood also can finish the path through the two dimensions. In a vision, the First Slayer has told Buffy that “Death is your gift.” In one of the colossal visual images in the bustle of the reveal, Buffy dashes down the platform on which they are standing and dives into the dimension gate. The season ends with a shot of a gravestone engraved with the name “Buffy Anne Summers” and below that the words, “She saved the world. A lot.”

There are those who wish that the explain had ended there. BUFFY is widely regarded as one of the very best shows ever made (TV critics almost routinely in trying to gauge how reliable a new reveal is by comparing it to BUFFY-for instance, in the past month I have read a discussion of the best Season Two’s in TV history, with BUFFY and THE SOPRANOS identified as perhaps the two best, while I read a review of the final episode of SIX FEET UNDER, with the reviewer comparing it to other gargantuan series finales but mentioning only BUFFY’s by name), but, they argue, the final two seasons represented a decline in quality. While I somewhat agree about the decline in quality, I reflect the decline can be exaggerated. It also changes what became the final memoir. In the series as we have it, Buffy was given her life support with the activation of all the Potentials. While self-sacrifice is always substantial on a camouflage, ending the series with her death would have left it pure tragedy. Also, there were a host of gargantuan seasons in the final two seasons. Would any BUFFY fan really want to have missed “Once More With Feeling” or “Tabula Rasa” or “Conversations with Dumb People” or “Lies My Parents Told Me”? Collected, I will agree that BUFFY, though aloof superb and frequently shimmering, would never be this perfect again. Season Five of BUFFY truly is television has it can possible score.

I was disappointed in both documentaries. In fact I judge them less to be documentaries and more subjective conspiracy theories with shrimp objectivity. With shrimp / no tie into the movie or book, the information is scrambled. I great engage the History Channel’s dvd on the DaVinci code to this one.

You must have very shaky faith indeed if a admitted work of fiction shakes it so.

South Park is better than ever now that it’s in HIGH DEFINITION! The Blu-ray looks killer

Bluray is worth the upgrade although I must admit I am surprised it serene stretches over 3 discs. The high definition switch is noticeably better in overall image quality and the menu’s are considerable more convenient.
